Michael Anthony Homes Plans New Community
in Upper Providence, Delaware County!
Lafayette Hill, PA (October 10, 2007)
- Michael Anthony Homes is making plans for a new community in historic Upper Providence, Delaware County.
The community will feature 50 homesites surrounded by the bucolic expanse of Glen Providence Park.
Centrally located in Delaware County, Upper Providence Township is adjacent to
Media borough, and is minutes from Route
1 and Baltimore Pike. The Septa R3 Regional Rail line services the area, too.
Upper Providence is in the Rose Tree Media school district, which includes Penn
Crest high school, as well as Springton Lake
middle school. Just 21 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Upper Providence is
close to many of the region's colleges and
universities, including Delaware County Community College, Widener University,
Swarthmore College and Villanova University.
Once a summer retreat for city dwellers, the township remains idyllic, featuring
Springton Lake Reservoir, Crum Creek and Ridley
Creek as well as a variety of parks and golf courses.
Residents enjoy the best of everything in neighboring Media and the
surrounding Delaware and Chester County communities. Upper Providence
is less than 10 minutes from the Granite Run
Mall, and just 30 minutes from the King of Prussia Mall. The region is
served by Riddle Memorial Hospital and Crozier
Chester Medical Center.
The community will have spacious, single family homes featuring typical
Michael Anthony Homes amenities like gourmet
kitchens with furniture quality cabinetry and stainless steel appliances.
Not to mention the signature Michael Anthony
Homes style and design essentials - like 9-foot ceilings,
deluxe crown molding and casings on all doors and windows,
and oak hardwood flooring. And, like all Michael Anthony Homes, they will be energy-efficient, with low-E glass
windows, a high-efficiency Carrier furnace / HVAC system, and well-insulated walls and ceilings.
Prices will start in the upper $500,000s, and homes will range from 2,500 to 4,000 square feet.
Founded in 1983, Michael Anthony Homes has built more than 1000 homes throughout the Philadelphia region, most
recently selling out Ardmore Crossing in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, and The Enclave at Mather
Avenue in Marple Township, Delaware County. They've garnered numerous awards for excellence, including
Community of the Year and Single Family Home of the Year.
