RESULTS AND ANALYSISFourteen percent of customers reported having observed a major security situation. Of the 14 percent, transit users in the southwest accounted for 32 percent of the observations of security situations, and the southeast had the lowest at 13 percent.
Overall, the majority of passengers, 68 percent, have observed no change in security on their transit system in the last year, compared to 26 percent of customers who believe security has improved and 6 percent believe security has declined.
