The New Internet Company

Overview

The purpose of The New Internet Company (NIC) is to:

All parties agree that:

The Contract

The Newspaper gives exclusive content use rights to NIC. NIC gives revenue splits to The Newspaper.

The Business Model

Under the umbrella of NIC there will be two divisions:
  1. Newspaper New Media Support - a print centric focus on near term profitable business that relates to the core franchise. There will be a facilitator/implementor (F/I) that resides within the structure of The Newspaper, as a Newspaper employee, but will report directly to NIC. F/I will work with NIC to facilitate on-line and print projects that include, but are not limited to the following:
    1. Classifieds {$1.00/ad with an annual review}
    2. Display Ads {$x/ad with an annual review}
    3. ROP Sales Support {% to be determined case by case}
    4. Archive Access {50% of access revenue}

    Other projects will be determined by their overall profitability to NIC and The Newspaper. Good examples of on-line publishing projects to put on the front burner are Main Line Life and Philadelphia Golfer.

  2. The Pure Internet Division {all 50/50} - an internet centric division whose initial stream of ad-hoc joint ventures will include:
    1. Dial-up Internet Access (through Microserve)
    2. MainLineLife.Com - A virtual community with a strong business directory.
    3. City Paper Rentals
    4. Education Programs
    5. Expo. Related, Publicity, and Public Relation Events
    6. Cable Co. and Similar Alliances
    7. Banner Ad Sales and Open Ad Stream Implementation
    8. Cyber Meeting Places and Showcases
