W6 Subwoofers
This is the speaker line that breaks all the rules and has established a new reference standard for automotive subwoofer design. Designed for high-power applications, W6's feature the longest excursion capability and the smallest box-volume requirements of all the JL Audio subwoofers. The W6's also feature a unique dual 6 Ohm voice coil configuration which allows the wiring of three W6 subs as a 4 Ohm mono load, while still permitting the wiring of one or two subs to conventional or high-current amplifiers.

Available in 8", 10", 12", 15" and 18" sizes.

    Sealed: .25 - .375 cubic foot
    Ported: .5 - .625 cubic foot

    Impractical for use in bandpass designs due to extremely small chambers and incredibly long ports.

    Power Handling: 200W


10W6
    Sealed: .5 - .875 cubic foot
    Ported: .875 - 1.0 cubic feet

    Very difficult for bandpass designs in groups of 3 or less due to long ports.

    Power Handling: 300W


12W6
    Sealed: 1.0 - 1.5 cubic feet
    Ported: 1.5 - 2.0 cubic feet

    Suitable for bandpass enclosures.

    Power Handling: 300W


15W6
    Sealed: 1.0 - 1.5 cubic feet
    Ported: 1.75 - 3.0 cubic feet

    Impractical for use in bandpass designs due to extremely small chambers and incredibly long ports.

    Power Handling: 400W


18W6
    Sealed: 1.25 - 1.75 cubic feet
    Ported: not recommended

    Power Handling: 500W
