Runco International presents the world's first light valve projector designed
expressly for home theater applications. Traditional light valve projectors have
offered increased brightness over conventional cathode ray tube (CRT)
projectors, but suffered from a lack of quality in other critical areas such as
resolution. The Runco LightAmp 4000 not only offers the brightest picture available today, it
does so with unequaled resolution, contrast, detail and color saturation. What
separates the Light Amp 4000 from conventional light valve machines is patented
technology developed by Hughes Aircraft for NASA and the U.S. Department
of Defense.
The core of this technology is the Image Light Amplifier, or ILA light valve
design.
This solid state device uses reflective rather than transmissive light to project an
image of striking clarity and brightness. The result is a picture more than ten times
as bright as conventional CRT projectors, with four times the contrast and high
definition television (HDTV) resolution capabilities!
The LightAmp 4000 has every conceivable feature you've come to expect from a
high-end projector, including a variety of lens choices to accommodate virtually
any required throw distance. Yet, user operation via the infrared remote control
is as simple as any television.
Reliability and ease of service have been extensively field proven, giving you the
peace of mind to just sit back and enjoy the show. Like any sophisticated piece
of equipment, the Light Amp 4000 is complex. It requires the highest caliber of
technically trained video technician to be properly installed and calibrated in your
home theater.
