An entirely new technology!

The Sunfire True Subwoofer is a small eleven inch cube, powered by a built-in 2,700 watt amplifier. Together with its two push-pull drivers, it is flat to below 18Hz and can reproduce ultra low frequencies at 110 dB SPL in a typical listening room. To put this in perspective, at least two or three very high quality servo controlled fifteen inch subwoofers in an eight cubic foot (that's big!) enclosure is required for this job using the obvious methods.

THE TECHNOLOGY

The heart of this design is a 2,700 watt amplifier using a super precision Tracking Downconverter. This drive amplifier is the most efficient I've ever designed; the power density of the main downconverter inductor is over 1,800 watts per cubic inch.

The driver employs a huge 3-1/4 diameter, 2-1/2 inch long excursion voice coil operated in an immense magnetic field generated by a massive 7-1/2 inch diameter magnet. A unique suspension system allows gargantuan linear excursions. Distortion is very low.

APPLICATIONS

Whenever the need to shake the walls and rattle the rafters is paramount.
